Position Overview

The purpose of the job as a business development manager is to market the products and services of the Bidvest Contact Centre to new clients and other Bidvest businesses. Grow and maintain a portfolio of clients and ensure profitable new and existing business production through the establishment and management of strong relationships and service excellence across all lines of business.

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing
Post Graduate in Business Management will be an added advantage
Regulatory Qualifications preferable
Minimum 3 years’ experience on similar role
Proven track record and experience in exceeding sales targets
Proven Experience in the sales and contact centre industries
Stakeholder management experience
Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Build and maintain relationships across the Bidvest Group in order to maximise opportunities
Developing growth strategies in terms of new customer acquisition and increasing current customer base
Identifying potential clients
Managing and maintaining relationships with existing clients
Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
Negotiating with stakeholders and presenting business proposals
Identifying and mapping business strengths with customer needs
Researching business opportunities in order to create viable income streams
Evaluate potential business opportunities to determine the impact
Define the lead generation strategy for the acquisition of new customers within the Bidvest channels
Ensure alignment to sales expectations and meets the overall profitability metrics of the business
Devise and implement the Bidvest channels’ sales strategy:
– Set and manage the annual sales budget
– Ensure the Bidvest sales channels’ infrastructure operate profitably and create value.
Implement practices within the Bidvest Insurance team which build service delivery excellence according to
TCF principles and encourage others to provide exceptional customer service.
