Positions Available

ACTUARIAL MANAGER

Build, Maintain and report on Financial models and dashboards that cater for the pricing and profitability of all short-term products within Bidvest Insurance Group.

  •  Actuarial or Mathematical postgraduate degree or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of pricing and or financial modelling experience
  • Must have ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries), FSA is desirable Management skills are required

  • Do monthly dashboards on each product within the short-term range of products. This includes Travel Insurance, Motor VAPs, Service & Maintenance Plans, Comprehensive Personal lines and Commercial insurance.
  • Highlight key areas for underwriting intervention or operational changes in order to enhance profitability
  • Develop/Maintain Pricing model for Short-term personal lines insurance Develop/Maintain Pricing model for Service and Maintenance products Liaise with various departments around their underwriting performance. Liaise with various stakeholders to obtain data in a timely manner
  • Manage projects established to support goals identified in strategic and operating plans Planning & Forecasting, Review and interpret models and make recommendations for planning, forecasting and reporting process

Broker Development Manager

To open, develop and maintain sustainable business relationships with select commercial insurance brokers, in order to grow a profitable book of insurance policies underwritten by Bidvest Insurance, whilst ensuring types and classes of business written is in line with the company strategy and that all risk mitigation practices are complied with.  To meet set targets regarding the maintenance of existing business, growing new business production and managing portfolios to ensure acceptable loss ratios.

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
  • 3 year relevant degree or 4 year National diploma is essential
  • FAIS Qualification (NQF level 4 / 5)
  • RE5
  • 5 years plus experience in a similar environment i.e. commercial insurance
  • Short-term Insurance industry knowledge

  • Manage all costs/expenses associated with relationship management in a professional and responsible manner.

The purpose is to lead a team of sales consultants within a call Centre environment in order to meet sales targets

Business Development Manager

The purpose of the job as a business development manager is to market the products and services of the Bidvest Contact Centre to new clients and other Bidvest businesses. Grow and maintain a portfolio of clients and ensure profitable new and existing business production through the establishment and management of strong relationships and service excellence across all lines of business.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing
  • Post Graduate in Business Management will be an added advantage
