Experience and Education

  • Grade 12/ Matric
  • FAIS 120 credit
  • Relevant Qualification
  • RE 5
  • 3 year experience in sales environment

General Skills

  • Good understanding of insurance products
  • Customer service knowledge and orientation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent telephone selling skills
  • Energetic and Multi-tasking
  • Fluent in English and other languages
  • Excellent time management
  • Team Player with the ability to work independently
  • Computer literate – MS Word, Excel

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • To ensure the effective and efficient running of the Call Centre
  • To support the Sales Team with administrative tasks, such as the production of function sheets
  • To ensure that the Call Centre KPIs are met, through achieving set objectives and targets
  • To ensure the effective and efficient running of the Call Centre

  • To handle and resolve complaints relating to the Call Centre
  • Collating, analyzing statistics to manage and improve the sales performance
  • Support the setup of third party sales and to brief the Call Centre Team on current third party activity
  •  Develop, monitor and implement structured plans with measurable goals
  • Ensure the measurability of activities within telesales and data administration
  • Ensure and monitor that consultants generate sales by cross selling and up selling
  • To take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of any direct reports
  •  To delegate tasks as and when appropriate to team members to ensure the effective and efficient running of the department
  •  To hold regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews with the Sales and Support Advisors
  •  To quickly identify and address any staffing issues with or between Team Members when appropriate, or refer to
    Sales manager or HR department for resolution
  •  To performance manage all team members and offer feedback
  •  To foster good relationships with all internal departments and cross-functional teams
  •  To comply with Health and Safety rules and regulations
  • To report any equipment defects, faults or breakdowns promptly to the relevant department
  • Providing ongoing team training, coaching and development
  • Setting up telesales training programs
  • Achieve 80 % accuracy on quality
  • Generate monthly report
  • To create any other ad hoc reports requested by management

Other Requirements

  • Criminal and Credit Clear
  • Reliable or own transport
  • Must have a proven track record within outbound environment
  • Background in the Motor trade would be preferable
