Position Overview
The Contact Centre Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the contact centre. The incumbent will be required to implement processes and procedures to ensure the efficient running of the contact centre from both a process and procedure standpoint.Responsible for oversight of 1st level line management in achievement of monthly targets. Ensure the business is aligned with strategic objectives.

Experience and Education

  • Grade 12 /Matric
  • Sales or Call Centre Management Qualification
  • FAIS Compliant
  • RE1 Certification 
  • Previous experience as a manager in a similar environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services industry, specifically within sales and contact centre 
  • Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, finance, information systems and sales.
  • Experience in change management and the ability to positively lead change.
  • Ability to inspire performance with sales teams
  • Experience in managing diverse teams

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • To achieve set objectives and targets 
  • Develop, monitor and implement structured plans with measurable goals 
  • Monitoring the delivery of the value proposition to customers 
  • Ongoing development of ideas for the department to work more efficiently and effectively
  • Providing ongoing team training, coaching and development
  • Provide the team with clear focus and direction, motivate the team
  • Manage some of the HR processes, recruitment and selection, leave management, performance management, disciplinary hearings etc
  • Ensure and monitor that consultants generate sales by cross selling and up selling
  • Setting up telesales training programs and training
  • Ability to work above and beyond the normal duties to ensure that targets are met
  • Generate and report on business unit’s performance to Senior Management 
  • Manage relationships across the business in order to identify synergies and maximize opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a business plan for identified new markets.
  • Build distribution capabilities to capitalize on new markets.
  • Devise and implement the sales strategy
    • Set and manage the annual sales budget 
    • Ensure the sales infrastructure operates profitably and creates value
  • To provide leadership and direction to National Sales Team.
  • Identify and drive strategic growth opportunities and revenue enhancement for the business

Other Requirements

  • Criminal and Credit Clear
  • Must have a proven track record within outbound environment.
  • Background in the Motor trade would be preferable
